Jamaica
Jamaica is the third largest island of the Caribbean. A place that is both unique and familiar with beaches that stretch forever and the seemingly endless hours of warm Caribbean sunshine. A trip to Jamaica may include river rafting, waterfall climbing, horseback riding, beachcombing, ballooning, diving, mountain biking, snorkelling or just relaxing in a swaying hammock watching the sunset.
Jamaica is not renowned among Caribbean islands for its scuba diving, but just because it is not that well known does not mean that it is without interest for a few dives while on a holiday on the island. Find cheap hotels in Jamaica today and enjoy all it has to offer.
Jamaica has a Carnival, which is a relatively new thing in Jamaica, it was started in 199 but it has become very popular and now sees a huge parade through Kingston. Jamaica has an excellent variety of beaches, ranging from the magnificent five-mile, sunset-facing strand of perfect white sand at Negril in the far west, through the meandering curves and bays of the north shore, to some very pretty, hidden coves the island’s eastern end. Jamaica has a very good variety of places to visit, probably more than any other Caribbean island.
It is larger than most others, clearly, and so it has a more varied natural life, including extraordinary flora, including some lovely botanical gardens and now some treetop jungle walks, and some birds and animals, but the island also has a more significant history, so there is a tradition of architecture that other islands do not have, in the plantations and their great houses, monumental buildings and churches. There are also plenty of man-made activities that make for a good day out, including coffee and rum factories and reggae parks. Rose Hall, Appleton Estate, the rum factory at Siloah, St Elizabeth, Dunns River Falls, Devon House and many more to keep you entertained throughout your stay.
